Hay quality rubbish

Most of my hay last year was only turned twice, this year 5-6 times, not a patch on the quality of last years hay, but bailer man said it's the best he's seen this year so maybe it'll be okay, no smell to the stuff though,

Finished Thursday night before rain yesterday. Best hay is from 9 acre steeply banked ridge and furrow pp which we grazed till mid May with ewes n lambs. Very green, lightest crop we had with no fert. Had to round bale at 12 to 15% due to steepness of field. Smells lovely. Only hay baled this week that horse hay merchant showed any interest in. Rest even grazed for same period with lot of rye grass and festulolium just not got the nose this year. Only fert applied was 75kg 7N 46 P to overseeded festulolium prg leys.
