Hay seed mix

Just wondering what mix folk are using for hay reseeds. Dad used to grow quite a bit for race horses back in the day , fairly high Timothy mix iirc but since our livestock went we only grow about 5 acres now on a steep hill the combine can't climb. Later stuff has been a mostly IRG based so less stemy and finer , for a faster wilt I think supplier said at time .

Thinking about putting a right wet cheesy 30acre field back into a grass rotation since we have the kit and selling as either hay or haylage . Longer lasting the better.

Any suggestions

Cheers

Or here which i collect (possibly bit far for the op :)) best about this is picking up the odd bag of clover or chickory etc to mix in the hopper as i go.....

Pure Timothy. Seed cheap to by will thrive on wet land. Yield a ton more than Perenial Ryegrass and horse people live it and it's proven beter for horses than any other grass

should be able to get straights somewhere

then simple to mix.

something like part Timothy, part long term PRG ,part meadow fescue and upwards of a kilo of white clover for bit of free N.
for an acre.

its not rocket science. ...or even.some sort of mysical art
