We use them - from memory we ordered about 150. Very pleased with them, and are about to order a load more. The alternative was a new building or a tarpaulin-type sheet. Hay caps are much cheaper than the former and much safer and more manageable than the latter.

We used to tie silage bags onto a flat 8 stack
Silage bag ( can you still buy them ??) cut so it opens out and the ends tied like a knotted hanky on a farmer on a deckchairs head !
Stacks of 48 little bales could stand out in the field for ages till we were ready to lead and stack
By hand !
Those were the days

Do you remember how much they are? I dont need many but need something to store bales through to Feb/March.

Remembered this thread, as I'm about to order some more. Just think it's important to tell people about the things that work, not just the things that don't. These are brilliant, and far safer than when I was clambering about on top of a stack with polythene, and putting bales on top of that.
