Head gasket repair stuff

I suppose it depends which direction it's leaking in. Had a slight external water leak on a maxxum ten years ago and a bottle of kseal cured it straight away. Maybe bubbles rising in the rad would be too much to hope for?

A decent dose of k seal might sort it. Don’t use a ‘injector cleaning’ additive afterwards though as I know a chap that was sure it loosened the k seal up again.

I put some steel seal in a l200 pick up that was blowing the water out of the expansion bottle. System was pressuring quite badly. Followed the instruction and put 2 bottles in as the amount required depends on the capacity of the cooling system. Was suppose to be short term measure but it was 6yrs ago and 50k miles, a lot of them towing as well, and still ok. (Probably give up now) But it’s done a lot better than I expected.

Anyone used it? Does it work?
Yes I know a new gasket is the proper fix but it's an old car and if it can get me another 6 months that'll do
For Oil in Coolant and an erratic cooling system as symptoms ......( not in engine oil) tried 'Steel Seal' (one carton 38 quid iirc ) the other day and it hasn't worked but to be fair we didnt put it in ' Workshop conditions'
Going to try something else when i get time .
