Just been looking at some of the dogs for the skipton sale today. Seen a couple called heading dogs. Any big difference between them and a normal collie or should this go in the regional terms and phrases thread?!
Sounds cooler because it’s what the kiwis call their collie types. Just like lots of things, it’s cooler if it’s from NZ and makes you a more progressive sheep farmer. If you can manage some Canterbury shorts and a Swazi or swandrii top, whilst sending your heading dog around your Romney’s, you will deffo make a lot of money in sheep.
