Have been playing the same game as most of the larger Plant Hire Companies, they want to buy New JCB and other makes at net net prices and then 6 months later sell them on to the Export or retail market - putting the traditional Main & Used Equipment Dealer out of business - very clever!
With the recent sudden drop in value of young construction spec TH and the hire market contracting, they deserve to catch a serious cold -
Believed to be manufactured in India - a load went through Euro Auctions recently - You Must Check For CE Cert - Emmision Certification Etc Etc - unless your sending them to the 3 rd world! - buyer beware!
Like a number of machines that go through Euro Auctions - gathered up from around the world - not for resale in Europe, USA - only for Asia, Middle East Markets
Apparently it would be - a task force has been set up to track down machines like this and penalise users - whilst some companies offer CE Plating Services for grey imports, in truth only the manufactures can offer CE Certification - where the expensive and lengthy testing (like cab destruction to confirm roll over etc) is required to pass muster. I know customers who have bought such machines from Euro Auction and DVLA have prevented Taxation and warned them of consequences of using them. Naturally if your tucked down some country lane farming away, the chance of them detecting you is very low, but as for parts availability India is a long way away!
No Scam - a friend who is a Case Dealer confirmed the facts - No Parts In Europe To Support - Like JCB Indian Factory - Machines Built For Asian Market - At A Price - Do Not Conform To European Spec - Just Like Machines Built For The USA Market By JCB - Non Compliant In Europe - If Case Used The Same Components As Europe Built Machines The Price Would Be The Same - ie £52,500 for UK Spec Simple Machine - Just Go To Euro Auctions Leeds on 28th November - you can buy a new one there at maybe less money again! - choice of 2
