Battled through last winters cold snap in parlour without any heat source for when I was milking. Fast forward this morning, first frost of the year and it was Baltic. What’s everyone else doing or options electric panels/blowers etc? Want to keep it simple only a 10/20 swing but it’s open ..... and no hat or glove jokes lol

We used to have a couple of 3kw infra red heaters. Not cheap to run though

Surely no point in a heater if it’s got no walls is there? I find If my feet are warm I’m fine I have some of them bama welly socks they’re really good!

If you've got a biomass boiler then a water fed fan heater could be an option.....

Milk faster 
12/24 here and I find it fine full of cows, can be bloody cold starting and washing down though
You could try running a hot wash through before milking? I've seen a parlour with alkathene pipe running along the walls and in the pit. They ran used platecooler water though it to raise the ambient temp. I don't know how effective it is but should Be quite cheap.

Do you have access to instant hot water? For your wash line? I fill a bucket of boiling water and dip hands in when they are almost falling off and if I fancy a treat I dip my feet in

We also have no heating system. Just use one or two diesel bullet heaters. It keeps it nice but is not optimal. In your climate it should be more than sufficient
