UPDATE: Have bought a 2007 Ferris Hydrowalk - a little beaten up but it looks like there's plenty of life in it yet and at £600 a snip compared to anything new and medium-duty. Thank you for the suggestions and particularly to Dave W.

Just sold two of these 5ft cut, 30 hp 4 cyl engine, 1999, 2000hrs, 4x4 hydro transmission and power steering,could of had one for £2300 + vat proper commercial machines

I'm looking for a diesel mower too.
I could probably buy a dexta and a finishing mower (?) and still have change, compared to a proper one.
Grass collection would be great as part of lawn is actually a decent ryegrass (part of field)

We've an 8ft finishing mower, gets used as a topper, which it is useless at!
