Heavy steering Case 585?

Case 585 has pas but heavy steering, hydraulics seem fine, plenty of oil, anything common fail on these?

Have you greased stub axles and linkage,
Tyre pressure?

Stuck / faulty steering priority valve in the MCV block, behind L/H rear wheel.

Thanks, will check MCV, greased stubs every month, tyres ok. Been on scrapping duties for last 9 months, I hadn’t noticed steering when returned to owner he wasn’t too happy.

Mcv valve will probably be stuck in the down position, needs plug out and freeing off , but not easy if itsstuck

Valve located bottom left of MCV diagram. I used an M8 expansion bolt to withdraw the spool. Jobs a good'un.
