No a tip but an observation , driving through Wilshire this spring saw a contractor cutting hedges. Stopped every so often started his Petrol leaf blower and blew the road clean ,
Observation 2 , saw a tractor last week with a front mounted hedge cutter
So could you not fit a blower to the rear of the tractor to blow the trash off the road

Between 2 and 3 metres high.
A shaped.
Cut the top from which side is more level
Never rush it.
If you’re cutting a hedge you haven’t done before walk along it first checking for old fences or any thing else that may be hidden in it.
Always cut it so you’re not looking in to the sun.
If it’s windy don’t cut it so the wind blows the trash in the road. Leave it till the winds dropped or changed direction, you’ll save yourself a massive clean up job.
Leave it looking neat, nothing better than seeing a well cut hedge
Look after your machine.

Don’t just bury the trimmer in the top of the hedge on your first run give yourself some wiggle room when doing your second tidy up pass also note the height if the other side of the top if cutting a boundary hedge nothing worse than pulling up to see the neighbour has cut theirs a foot lower than you can or their side is higher than yours

Make yourself aware of any sink/pot holes in the hedge back. If like me you have a rear mounted cutter, and your back wheel drops into a hole then the cutter drops even further down into the hedge. If it happens you then need to detach the hedge cutter and put on the post knocker and fence the gap you have created!!!
Oh, and its always handy to have a set of fencing pliers or a battery grinder in the cab with you to cut off any wire you may get tangled around the cutting flail.?
