We had one calve (caesar actually) at 13 months.
we had one calve at 13 months, calved her naturally but the calf was dead, we kept her for a bit then the chap next door bought her, she ended up one of the biggest cows he has got
 
I have often seen them bulling from 4-5 months, but the stock bulls seem to be too big to get them in calf, as the only one I've ever had go in calf was over a decade ago and it was caught by a bull calf.

It' a good reason for keeping a tight short calving period, the older these heifers get the more chance they have of getting in calf.
