Heiniger 12 volt clippers

I need a new cable lead for my 12 volt Heiniger clipper.

The spare parts list puts the cable in at £58 !

Anyone recommend a cheaper supplier or can I just go to a good DIY store?

I would go to any motor factors and buy some 12v cable and some spade clips, could probably reuse the croc clips. Check the amp rating on the clippers to get the right size cable.

We have a set and the grey part that houses the switch broke of the main black body. Trouble is that the plastic is polyethylene or some such poly olefin and can't be glued with most mainstream glues any sense. Go on online and get some activator which you paint on (hexane?) and it burns through the non stick part of the plastics so you can stick it with cyanoacrylate or loctite as most people call it.
