Corn Chamomile (Anthemis arvensis)
definitely a wildflower, not sure how much it's considered a weed, I have it from sowing some wildflower seeds from Ireland a friend gave me
lots of wildflowers have daisy-like flowers - can be confusing, I have ox-eye daisy but I know there are others

Don't think its phacelia.

I've seen this weed before and from Memory it has a flower head like cow parsley.

The name of the bleeding weed is on the tip of my tongue but I'll be buggered if I can think of it at the moment.

I've been walking some spring barley and January drilled wheat this evening in anticipation of spraying it tomorrow and I've come across this weed.View attachment 790816View attachment 790818

I can't positively Identify it from books and apps. Its a umbrellifer Has got a silvery grey appearance and is very soft to the touch.

itI initially thought it was but churvil but it's not, the nearest I can get is yarrow.

Anyone got any ideas???? And more importantly will ally+mcpa or Broadway star kill it.
I think it might be Rue.

My ground grows annual nettle like billy-o. Normally ally and mcpa sorts that in spring barley and the late wheat will get Broadway star to do any brome and oats lurking about aswell.

Shepherds needle?

From my book I would say carrot and fools parsley are out; there a weed called honewort which I have never heard off but it has green-grey foliage.

None of the other carrot family have leaves like that so that rules hemlock, cow bane and the hogweed lot out. A serious botanist might know if some of these characters can interbreed and create funky biotypes that would confuse us.

I was having a read at breakfast (much to the annoyance of the missus) and I did wonder about Shepards needle.
The
As you say I don't think its a carrot, parsley or hogweed type relative.

Trust me to have an odd ball,
What is it they say NFN...normal for Norfolk!!!
It's probably some mundane weed that for centuries has breed with its cousins or close nieghbours (sometimes both) and created this specimen.

Some weeds to cross with their cousins to form weird biotypes which don't allow definite identification. I used to see a fair few weird permutations of things like fat hen in this part of the world.
