HELP PLEASE! Need Space to Rent

Hello PLEASE HELP!!

I work for a mid-size marquee company serving London and the South East. Our warehouse lease is coming to an end very shortly and because they are demolishing the structure they will not renew. As a result we are searching for temporary space to operate from until we can find permanent premises to lease or possibly buy. Farm land with good access, and ideally, hard standing and some barns (although we obviously can create our own temporary structures) is what we need. I was hoping someone on here may be able to help. Does anyone have any ideas? We are extremely 'well mannered'! Our clients include the Historic Royal Palaces etc., so we promise to be very sensitive to you and your land... I come from a farming community - so I 'get it'. We are looking to get through the busy summer period at least, so a rental of minimum 6 months, but we could stay longer if mutually beneficial. Please reply / repost or call me Caroline 07917 251599 with any ideas. I would be so grateful.

Last time I looked, the South Of England is more or less covered in industrial units? Why not rent one? Why does everyone think they can rent a "barn" for nothing and leave it in a tip.
Sorry for the rant but had fingers burnt by a similar tenant.

Dear @Neddy flanders , with the greatest respect, I am sorry you had a bad experience, but please don't tar everyone with the same brush! If you had read my post you would see that we are most certainly NOT that type of company. The Queen doesn't think so anyway - she let's us use her house! We are trying very hard to find a suitable industrial unit, but so far everything we have found is either astronomically priced, dangerous or too small a space. Many farmers are trying to diversify to stay in business and we are looking for a partnership for mutual benefit. Please try not to damn everyone due to one poor experience. You are clearly of a different mindset than your ex-renters. Why do you assume we are not?

How big a space are you looking for and how far out are you prepared to travel from London (where are you currently based?)

@crazy_bull We are currently based in Surrey near Thorpe. Our company is called Berry Marquees if you would like to take a look at us... www.berrymarquees.com We are ideally looking between M1 to M23 (west side) and no more than about 45mins to the M25. Our current space is about 12,000 sqf and we really want more space and a mix of indoor (if possible) and outdoor space. Thanks SO MUCH for your response.

Hi 'Chelmsford' gave me a call so we are going to check it out. I think it may be too far around the wrong way, but so appreciative of your help Thank you!

Hello Again!

Just an update that we are STILL SEARCHING for some space, so please get in touch, or spread the word if you can. Thank you!

Best thing you can do is speak to all the agents in the area.

Rental on commercial in my part of the world, other side of London is under supplied currently.

12,000 ft2 is a decent size, if you have good history you should have a good chance of muscling in on a deal.

@CDS01 Trouble will be that planning permission will be required for change of use, if the planning is already in place then the space will probably already be let. I think you may need to try more traditional routes.

Most farmers are pretty savy down south ( not sure the northern lot have the same opportunities value wise) if they have an empty barn it's because either the owner is over 60+ and not really thinking about non farming stuff or they have tried to get planning before and failed (which in the planning stage of life is unlikely)

You may find 2500 ft2 spare but not 12,0000 unless you can find empty Grainstore but then they will want them back in a few months

Might be possible, just depends on how quick planning permission is.
