had a ewe looking like lambing last night....clear first ectoplasm.......left her

this morning she's no further forward apart from ominous looking trickle of afterbirthy looking stuff

had little feel....opened her slightly.....could feel mouth of lamb behind what i think is waterbag (didn't want to go mad maulin)

no horrible smell

thinking perhaps lamb hung up inside recently dead...or is she just really slow :scratchhead:

You've given her plenty of time. Only one thing for it! At least it's at 8am, not the middle of the night!

oh and before i get 'slated' for tupping 10 yr old ewe....please keep in mind....camera on full zoom and it's still as close as i've got to her in a year :bag:
No slating from me. I have an old dear here that gets checked every year for teeth and udder and always good. Mrs HM was checking back records and she’d given us twins for the last 8 years and a single the first year as a gimmer. Think this might be her last as she’s slowed down a bit, but she’s making a grand job of two ewe lambs, so I’ll keep them for the flock.

I had a great old ewe, very prolific, that scanned for quads (only ewe in the flock to do so) at the age of ten. Had to mollycoddle her a bit until lambing. Two live, two dead. Lifted one and left her one to rear but she got sick and I had to lift that one too. The daft old bugger shouted for it for days. Couldn't face sending her to Boswells, she had a couple of years of retirement here.
