It won’t be pulling right with pullersdoing this while banging with hammer and I have Milwaukee power chisel to vibrate the crap out of base still no go
soon I will just dremel it off because it's not coming off. I will call dealer and first ask if I missed something...
Been there done that. Had a 20c mf once that steering wheel was stuck on. Reached my limits with it.....I called a parts yard (breakers) and ordered a replacement then proceeded to destroy the stuck wheel. I got it off.
Just leave it on, steering wheels are very useful thongs anyway.just in case it had loctite but no difference. I told dealer to come get it off. over the phone they said they know they are a pita to remove. banged on the thread so hard i bent it too. I give up.

Oh dear and it won't even let me edit it lolI can’t imagine using a steering wheel as a thong, but whatever floats your boat…
I hear your more of a mankini kind of guy rather than a thong anyway aren’t you PeteI can’t imagine using a steering wheel as a thong, but whatever floats your boat…
ok well dremel to the rescue
however the platform kit isn't going on easy. I sanded the splines, greased, banged with hammer still not sliding on. wtf this is annoying. I got it on maybe 1/5th but I aborted because it will be impossible to remove again. there has to be an easier way...
at lastok finally
someone said it was tapered they were right. 21.2mm at the top and 21.9mm on the bottom (the flush bit under the spline). with that being said I sanded out 0.7mm from the platform kit now it went on ez pz.
