My daughter is doing a degree in zoology and has to write a piece on parasites where science can not fully explain the life cycle of parasite in animals any ideas please we would be really grateful thanks.

The question is where the lifecycle cannot be fully explained.

To be brutal this will be lifecycles where there has been no money to investigate because it is rare.
Sometimes it is because the lifecycle is really quite difficult to uncover in that involves more than two hosts.

So in short "lifecycles not fully explained"
They are not economically important [who would investigate a parasite that hits people over 80?]
They are complex and the money spent so far has not uncovered the lifecycle
They are rumours and hype

That would be my approach

Thanks for your replies fortunately she has found something that fits the question at the time I was asking she was on home study so didn't have access to better resources and was really struggling to write her piece she was asking me for help well I know very little about such things so was hoping someone might have some ideas to get her going .
