Helpful hints with Massey 1839

So just got a Massey 1839, it'll be my first baler and first time making hay.

Anyone got one and can offer some advice with speed, type and size of bale string etc etc.

Don't know much about them but there is a couple of Facebook groups that could help. One on Massey conventional balers and a general one on small conventional balers.

Speed, for any small baler I can think of, needs to such as you get 8 to 12 flakes per bale in most crops as a guide. The lower the number of flakes, the more the bale size will vary.
