I’ve been getting 16000 birds worth of muck in a 10ton trailer per weekI would go for a 16t trailer, it will give you the option of getting 16,000 birds worth in 1 go or 1 trailer per shed per week. We run it into a 15t muck spreader once a week.

Just do 2 x 18.29t loads a week and on a quiet week do the odd extra one, that should keep old beaky happy.
Yes we shall be going on the road . But we are paying for the manure. The 18.29 tonne weight limit includes the weight of the trailer, the reality is the load can only weigh about 14 or so tonnes.
@Mr chips are you going on the road with this? Are you paying for the hen manure or being paid to take it away? If it’s the latter then I’m afraid it’s white diesel etc. as you’re no longer hauling a farm input but being paid for waste removal.

By the analysis we have seen for it i would think around 14t per hectare. It will depend on field analysis. We will hope to put it on veritable rate eventually. What application rate would you spread it at?

I will sign you up then Spud . Start Nov.You'd buy a 10 yo 65yd commercial tipper for about £9k. At that end of the market it doesn't matter if it doesn't do grain again (which tassc wouldn't allow anyway)
You own the trailer and get a local haulier to pull it for you once a week, make the hydraulic connections suit his system.
Much cheaper than an expensive trailer you can't use for much else, and takes the pressure off you when it's busy. Weigher keeps you legal. Biggest flaw is height to tip.
You can take mine for free,Yes we shall be going on the road . But we are paying for the manure.
Thanks I will send a boat round. You can take mine for free,
I would say 4 tonne/acre is a rough dose. Dont overdo it. It is as potent as bagged N.
Apply a sprinkle in spring to growing crops if its dry enough.
Just looking at options for putting some OM back. All our straw goes to the power station so we don’t benefit from muck for straw.
Hen houses seem to be popping up around and about. Only worry would be variable nitrogen/protein on our wheat and barley.
