Up 45% I think? I ordered everything available local to me the day beforeI think it’s a good bit dearer than £175 since the April 1st hike isn’t it?

Had this problem last year had to blanket treat everything with oxytet only to be found resistant and had to go in with trymox.Agreed. I dropped Heptavac P in adult sheep after 2 pasteurella outbreaks in vaccinated groups, which only stopped when I went through with blanket antibiotics. Both times, PM’s (paid for by the vaccine company) showed they had been hit by a strain not covered by the vaccine anyway!
My vet and I suspect that the bigger issue was a TE deficiency problem, leading to poorer immunity making them more susceptible. It’s been less of an issue since getting on top of that, but whether that’s just a coincidence…..

Do you bother with vaccinating lambs? vet tried telling us to do 2 jabs at weaning then another in august as we seem to have an outbreak in september 2 times now.
also found a trace element deficiency in the ewes and seem to be lacking in iodine and selenium and marginally low in everything else. How are the ewes coming on since not jabbing with heptavac p with you? still seems nuts to me that balnket treating with antibiotics cost less than vaccinating??
