Was at a local store today looking to buy spray for buttercup and docks. The owner is regarded as a kinda of “ The Spray Guru “. Recommended hurler plus agritox about £10 /acre. Enquired about F*** F**** a highly advertised spray that kills everything only grass. £16/acre. You have to sign paperwork not to export slurry ,feed ,or farmyard manure and also not permit growing veg on treated land for x years.
Then he told me he had a few dairy customers who had herd health problems after using it. Cow immune system weak.
Anybody else herd this?
Went for hurler +agritox.

Haven't heard of those problems, the price of that spray seems to put a lot of people off using it. Envy is the best spray I've found for buttercup and although it's not listed as being suitable for docks it has wiped mine out.

Graze a sprayed field with the cows and then put them in the next field and their sh1t will kill the docks. It binds to cellulose and is very persistent hence the ban for a few years as everyone was killing their tomatoes in the veg plot.

There's just something wrong with that.

1 application of f#f# kept our leys pretty clean (except the stripes we missed) for 4 yrs, got talked into using pas+tor now, not sure if we should have changed, but f#f# looks to be some nasty stuff , as with anything really effective it will probably get banned anyway

16 quid an acre for forefront Id be blanketing the farm with it as that is very very cheap!

Agritox is not that hot.

Envy will attack docks as it contains fluroxypyr.
Now, willy the wise one has spoken, do as he says and your weed worries are over . F + f is very good , to good in fact and will soon be banned to be replaced by something weaker and less effective .

They already did for a few years and it came back with conditions on its use. It also had triclopyr added to it but I never worked out why.

£ 16/ acre is cheap for wiping out everything.
I know it's a brilliant product for doing exactly as it says on the tin.
BUT,is there any truth about it harming my cows?
That's why I didn't buy it.
I'm not anti-round up or anti GM but this is bl##dy weird spray that'll stay in cow's sh!t.

if you use it on your lawn, you will end up with something looking like a veg patch with grass weeds!!!!
b good spray, but makes you wonder what it actually does, given all the restrictions,
but took on a 4 acre field 5 years ago, 1/2 cut for silage 1x year, 1/2 never cut, or grazed since 08, sprayed 1x year with mcpa, blo#dy good mess. sprayed f front year one, kept it pretty clean, should really have sprayed last yr but sprayed pas +tor this yr, will be interesting to see how long this spray lasts.
