If you'd suggested this 12 months ago you'd have been laughed at.
Brits have always been against identity cards. A covid vaccination passport to get into anywhere is going even further. The government said it's a volantary vaccination. For months they have been denying people will have to take the vaccine for domestic use.
Dominic Raab finally admitted this morning on LBC that it is being looked at.
Proposals to introduce documents to let immunised Brits lead a normal life are “under consideration” he said.

Piers Morgan said
"Love the idea of covid vaccine passports for everywhere: flights, restaurants, clubs, football, gyms, shops etc.
It’s time covid-denying, anti-vaxxer loonies had their bullsh*t bluff called & bar themselves from going anywhere that responsible citizens go."
So, you want people to have a vaccine to buy food? If they don't ? Starve?
Discuss.

Think the manipulation comes in the threatening to do this stuff.
None of it will come to pass I imagine.
They just want to get the vacc numbers up so can have a victory parade.
It's all pretty shameful...meanwhile lives ruined and ended by restrictions, scaremongering, false information, new variant nonsense.

If this document is correct it doesn’t surprise me one iota. I have thought right from the beginning of the pandemic that the SAGE committee have been trying to scare the hell out of the population.
Some of their members definitely show signs of having had a charisma bypass, and I would be very surprised if some of them have ever cracked a joke, and probably never been down the local for a drink.

It looks very simplistic for a science document

I would assume many of them have some dirt on them and are doing as they are told. Same old same old.

I certainly think there has been some effort to try and keep Brexit problems out of the headlines. FFS two days of the BBC leading on a domestic household dispute in a small country thousands of miles away and the UK Government trying to intervene in it as well. :scratchhead:
I am totally sure that Covid is being pushed in order to hide Brexit problems. This doesn't mean there is no Covid but if there is no economic activity no one is worried about their inputs not arriving or export problems therefore Lockdown has given the Government a lot of breathing space. They've got the public looking in the direction they want and if they need a bit more help then they will always be able to find another variant.

When history is written the useful coincidence may be considered. The truer comparison for Brexit will be to look at the impact on individual EU countries following Brexit. I look forward to review articles in the Newspapers and BBC looking at the impact in Germany and France.

I have no views Rob as the UK has left EU. I find it amusing the sentiments and it is quite an amusing wind up.

My little life will carry on until I die. I rarely leave Lincolnshire. And I am inconsequential in the scheme of things. Folk on here with businesses and property interest in Europe and holiday in EU have more interest maybe.

My interest is of academic note. I just find it interesting. If that is a flying pig flying a kite, so be it. Cheers

Being in the UK at present and watching the news I am incredibly dismayed at the attitude of all the TV stations especially the BBC who I previously have had a lot of respect for basically they are acting as Agents of the State disseminating Government propaganda. It's very hard to find an alternative view.

Yep, they are not worth watching imo

Gov have been holding the licence fee decriminalisation review over the BBC' s heads for a year to ensure they tow the line.
