What's the ideal killing weight for hereford heifers?

I guess the same as any other breed - when they are "finished"? Identifying when a beast is "ready" is a skill we are learning. The different bloodlines vary quite a lot.

I'd kill it about 600kg.

Preferably about 540/550 kg and not to fat

I'll have a guess: Most Hereford heifers are likely to get overfat much over 300kg dw, I would think, so hung up at about 600kg? Obviously dependent on feeding and type.

Some of the cattle men on here will be along shortly to say I'm talking rubbish shortly!

Generally they get too fat and will not be much of things over 500 kg.

550-600kg liveweight. They are incredibly easy to finish but very hard to put much weight on without getting over fat
