Hi clear tractor

How would you convert a normal 95hp tractor to hi clearance for rape spraying. Can it be done? Very large wheels or any ideas? Mounted sprayer bit is easy, clearance under axle isn't.

Turn the final drives through 90%, that's what fendt did to the tool carriers to make them high clearance. I think it was Sam who did the same thing to their early DB based machines.

How about this? Would be ok, or the other one for the veg patch!

If you decide to conver the DB, you will need the longer front stub axles and different cab mounting brackets to re-attach the cab to the reductions once you have swivelled them round

and make sure you lock the diff lock pedal in the engaged position before pulling the right hand reduction out. If you dont, the diff lock sleeve and spring pops out of the diff, and its a right pig to get back in without the proper service tool.

bear in mind there two sizes of stub axle, there the lighter, smaller beam for a 990/995/6 and 12,1390/94s, and a heavier one for the larger 1200/10/12 and the 1490/94s

I wouldnt call them museum pieces, this however, i would. Wonder how many hectares it does on a tank? o_O

not so bad if you have the proper service tool like us, still a bit fiddly and a definate knack to getting it back in, ive done loads where people have pulled them out and then got messed up putting them back in.

Its always easier to put the left hand unit first, as then you can use that one to turn the diff planet gears to aid fitting the right hand one, which has to go through both the difflock sleeve and the diff gears
