Should of done 40k with a 50k gearbox at low revs to compareIt takes a fair bit more fuel to maintain that extra 10k speed

Very good question.. it should solve the takeoff torque issue? What is the need for high torque at low revs in a tractor engine when coupled to a CVT transmission?
+1 to all this. hilux isnt much better than my 80 on fuel when unladen, and is definitely worse when towing. My cousin runs a haulage business and has gone back to all manual trucks, apart from the one truck which gets agency drivers who cant be trusted with a manual.Yea, auto will solve the stalling issue.. but 3k more to buy and quite a lot more to go wrong. Once you’ve run an 80 series with a manual box, you don’t want anything else.. hilux not even any better on fuel when towing and rides terribly with and without trailer. Even our local haulier went back to a manual box for his main lorry.. just so cost effective to run.
Is there a Case equivalent?t6.160 and t6.180 are exactly the same size as the 4 cylinder equivalent. Gone are the days of a ts115 being a foot or so longer than a ts110.
Our contractors 5130 absolutely thrashed our old 399.. it just pulled and pulled. Mind you, anything could beat that gutless damn fergy.5130 couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding unless a turbo kit was bolted on to make it a 5140 equivalent or more.
The only 6 pot maxxum is the 150 same as a t6180. I think all the others are 4 potIs there a Case equivalent?
how much for a new 415? sounds like it could make a good loader tractorDepends what you want, I had Fendt 415 (4 cyl 155hp) and T6090 (6 cyl 165hp), obviously the T6090 had more grunt but the 415 is extremely capable, over a ton lighter, turns a much tighter radius and is cheaper on fuel for the jobs it is used for (which are mainly field operations). But obviously the bigger 6 cylinder tractor has way more torque and so walks all over it for haulage work
It'll cost you a time machine to get a new 415how much for a new 415? sounds like it could make a good loader tractor
ill rephrase it then, how much for a 155hp fendt these days? It'll cost you a time machine to get a new 415
Stopped making them years ago
Price a 155hp New Holland then add 30k and you won't be far offill rephrase it then, how much for a 155hp fendt these days?
Price a 155hp New Holland then add 30k and you won't be far off
closest to a 516 would be a t6.175 autocommandWhat is a 155hp new Holland?
110k then? surely notPrice a 155hp New Holland then add 30k and you won't be far off
If youve managed to spec a t6.175 up to 80k then I bet 110k for same spec 516 isn't that far off110k then? surely not
thatll be about the going rate is it not?If youve managed to spec a t6.175 up to 80k then I bet 110k for same spec 516 isn't that far off
you wont be running a forager at low revs though, so it wont matter. If it's running a silage harvester and meets a lump or similar situation
Yes it will matter, if you bring in a big lump what do you think will happen to the revs? The more torque you have the less it will dropyou wont be running a forager at low revs though, so it wont matter.
