Looking at a high houred sprayer outfit. 13200hours. Won't be doing many hours a year but will this be a big gamble . what to look out for when I go and see it. Currently got a case sp. More power on the banks would be good. And a mechanical drive it should fly. All advice please

Condition more important than hours tbh check axles thoroughly eg stub pins and wheel bearings, has it got eight stud, ten stud or twelve stud hubs ( ten is the best) zf gearbox is pretty good check oil is clean and shifts gears ok etc brakes should be good and quite sharp normally, air suspension is better than coils for comfort and stability. What kind of sprayer has it got on it’s back? Cab wears well and John Deere engine well it has been known for a head gasket and the stanadyne inj pump can go but if it starts and runs ok should be no bother

They are a bit like a Land Rover (only more reliable) in that everything is fixable. As said, check the axles for wear. Also worth taking out the main axle oil level plugs and checking that the brake discs still have some meat on them.
Check that the 4 wheel steer works correctly.

Failed to put a picture up. Looks like it has 8 studs on the front and 12 on the back. Think its leaf springs. Knight sprayer
8 front and 12 rear would be a common spec if you can jack it up and check for slack everywhere including track rod ends as they are pricy too. It will not be leaf springs it will be coils or if you are lucky air but I bet it’s coils.
Knight sprayer is a good unit the best booms are the series 4 which has the box section on the top rail of boom, if it’s got the round pipe top rail it is earlier type with an odd folding linkage where everything folds at once?

Thanks for all the advice. 1 problem I got is it comes on 600 wheels. And no row crops. It sounds like there abit hens teeth. Does the gearbox play up at all. The 50 km would be handy

Row crops shouldn’t be an issue we run 380/90/46 on ours which is quite a common size on tractors so not a disaster to find tbh. 50k ??? They will do 60 odd on rowcrops and still feel good on the road. Gearbox has no real problems as far as I know, its a ZF unit which is used in a variety of other vehicles such as loading shovels and terex dumpers etc so well proven, oil should be spotless and filter changed regular

Thanks again. Silly question. I guess there's a dipstick for the gearbox. I'm try to load a picture up. She's at cleanacres.
Had a look on cleanacres website, series 4 booms so that’s a tick, paint etc is all good she looks well tbh if you check everything is working and no oil leaks etc along with axle checks and steering she should be ok. There is also a set of row crops on website for a fastrac which with the centres replaced would make a set of row crops for you
