Just been on the BBC predicting high pressure till the end of April with very little rain. Going to be a difficult start for crops.

Hurrah ... got all our maize to drill and first cut to take.
Nice bit of rain/snow recently to keep it damp until now so bring it on

Its worse than most of the crappy recent springs we've had, this cold and the wind is relentless and night temps , who would have thought it be so dry do quick after the monsoon 😒

Field walking today in Suffolk I was amazed how hard the ground is. Ditches bone dry in many places. Zero tilled early looks fine, ZT later (after the rain) slots are opening up.
