High rev vacuum pumps

It seems that vacuum pumps on slurry tankers all run at 350rpm max, are there any that can run at 500rpm? The reason for asking is that at 350rpm the tractor is engine is only producing 2/3 of its rated power which isn't enough to power a macerator and pull 10 tonnes of slurry at the desired speed.

Ours is 1000, it’s direct drive so doesn’t have a gearbox on the front.

As a retrofit the best thing you could do is put a hydraulic motor on there
You’d do well to power macerator and vac pump at the same time. For this reason we moved from a hydraulic driven pump to a pto pump when moving to a tank with a shoe.

We posed this to a dribble bar manufacturer and he assured us thered be no issue running the hydraulic pump and macerator on a NH T6080. Whatever hydraulic pump it has would do the job he reckoned

Its surprising how little hydraulic power is needed to run a macerator. And vacuum pumps dont take that much power either when producing 1 bar of pressure

I've heard estimates of 15 -20hp to run a macerator but have not been able to pin the figure down to anything more definite. It will depend on the amount of solids in the slurry I should imagine.

At around 350 pto rpm on 540 rpm gear your engine should be just above its max torque. I’ll hazard a guess it’s at around 1200-1300 engine rpm?
Spot on, but with the reduced spreading width a faster forward speed is desirable and that's where things get tricky. At 1200 rpm it may have maximum torque but is producing only around 75 of the rated 115hp.
