Higher Tier Stewardship Payments

If we started in the higher tier scheme this Jan when should the first payment arrive in theory? I thought it was last month but maybe wrong? I know there's bound to be delays but wondered when it should be.

Cheers, CC

It was supposed to be by the end of June.

We have only had one payment in 21 months........the excuse is that the computers can't cope, so am now a year behind! :(

Only a Government agency can get away with something like this.

Hopefully our Farming Union is on the case. @Guy Smith (Sorry to tag you Guy, but our entire area hasn't been paid, even though we have jumped through the hoops!)

So if the start date was Jan 17 the first payment should have been end June 17? Hope you see your payment soon!

Our scheme, started in Jan 2016, the payment was due from June and promised to be paid by October at the latest. We received it in January 2017........and nothing since !

First payment is 75% of total amount due some time after December 1st and the remainder in June ish

I emailed them and they told me that too - so fingers crossed...

On a slight tangent, I got a letter from them the other day saying that the payment used to be split 50:50 but it's changing to 75:25 (as above). This would be alright but they wrote to a different farmer with a different SBI at my address. I assume this means they have muddled other people's contact details up as well, which is a breach of their data security.

This scheme is such a frustration. I was one of those who bit the bullet and entered the mid tier scheme in Jan 16. As of yet I have received a 50% annual payment in April 17 and nothing since. I have also claimed circa £5.5k of works which I have paid out for, but yet to receive any monies.

It has been a difficult scheme to apply for, provide continual evidence and communicate about. Without the capital works it is certainly not worth it.

Imagine if they had all the applications they had expected in 2015!!
