Probably not. But that's not actually what the strike is about.

I didn't know the story down South but up here there's been a real lack of investment (before it got renationalised, but it's coming out now as to how bad it is) - trains just aren't fit for purpose is the main reason they get cancelled. Staff shortages, too - expecting drivers to work 12hr shifts with no days off and only the minimum 12hrs 'off' between shifts... this has been going on, for well over a year and the employers don't seem to be making any effort to find solutions
Said on radio they want more money and jobe security , id say employee s have plenty job security surely they have the same as every other employee in the land ? As for 12hr shifts well if you want almost 1k a week double the nat average you should have to expect to work harder and longer than average imo . As for the other problems shame but every industry has problems mostly casued by government ! I have sympathy with rail passengers non for the strikers !

Reckon it`s got little to do with rail workers pay & conditions.
Union men are frustrated at Starmer`s inability to do anything useful against the government so are going to try the old fashioned method.

Dunno. I said to my friend if it's that bad why not just change jobs... didn't really give me an answer. Suppose no difference to a lot of farmers who moan like hell but never give up 😂

Like I said, don't know the story South of the Border or why they want more money but it sounds like ScotRail has been run into the ground - but I'm not sure they wanted to strike though? (I'll need to ask my friend next time I see them)

Agree it's really shyte for the passengers, especially the ones who rely on train for work or seeing family

And work !! The new borders railway has been a big success it would have been massive success if the trains actually ran on time , allt who use for work now bavk to cars as so unreliable .

20 million filterd off for another stab at independence , bunch of fukin dickheads
I think you should just announce yourself as Dictator of the Borders region. Shoot any fecker who questions your authority, and tell wee nippy to do one . You’re close enough to the barracks at Otterburn , so you’ve an army at your beck and call !
Viva la republic!💪😂

I wish they’d just get it. I would laugh my socks off when the penny dropped a few months down the line and they realise they’ve majorly fecked up!
