Highlander shearling ewes

200 Highlander x maiden shearling ewes for sale. Born outside in April, and none of them assisted (any that where went fat). On Heptavac P+ and had EAE & Toxo vaccines last Autumn, so ready to put to the ram.

MV accredited and all by MyoMAX Gold rams. Would suit as ET recips or high health replacement ewes. Perfect to cross with a Charollais terminal sire, which can be supplied as well.

What are the highlanders crossed with to produce these ewes? Looks like you've got plenty of grass there for them Neil.

They started off with Hartline x ewes (out of Texel x & a few NC Mules). These shearlings will be from half Highlander to 7/8 Highlander.

Dams of these scanned at 176% last Autumn, with around 1/3 of them having reared lambs as tegs.

Yes, way too much grass, it's got away from them but didn't want any more hay/silage. Less there than it looks, with most of the bottom grazed out and waiting for my topper PTO shaft to be mended.

No, just delaying expansion for another 12 months while I get the place sorted better. Got 200 ewe lambs bred the same way to come in this time.
