Highways re doing a road with Chipping's and livestock access

Has anyone had issues with highways laying chippings type surface on roads that you use for livestock access?

We walk our dairy cows along this road for access to a grazing block so the little small stones would soon cause issues in cows feet.

Most of these gangs are pretty good, work with them. Extra rolling and sweeping leaves a decent finish.

They don’t do any rolling and might come back in a month to sweep it

My road had to be done twice the numptys did it in the hottest week of the year a few years ago they where told not to do it as four of the neighbors were at silage that week
it was all lifted by the tractors and trailers even though they all took it steady

Its actually very good if used correctly. Its nothing to do with potholes, but used to reseal the surface to stop water getting in & causing more problems occurring. It won’t fix potholes, but should stop new ones appearing. Potholes coming back are from shoddy repairs to the pothole before tar & chipping.

Our road needs doing, I wonder if there’s any way of picking it up with something & moving it somewhere else?
