Got that bit. Apologies, I meant once you've got the bolts in the right place in the holes how do you keep them there when you pour the concrete.
Thanks, that's what I'm trying to ask.Do they just hang there as you pour or do they need keeping plumb if they get pushed out of line?
Thanks, that's what I'm trying to ask.
I've done them before but not for at least 10 years. Always used to set them and then pour but couldn't remember how to do it.Get 4 bolts fastened into a plywood template.
Measure and mark centres of boards.
You've dug the holes and run strings on the mid lines of the post positions.
Pour concrete to chosen level.
Push 4 bolts into concrete so centre of board is under correct positipn on strings.
Best way is to pay a pro to do it and help them. Watch closely.
Where's the fun in that?Plywood templates with a cross on.
String lines on every bay or profiles set up and keep moving the line.
Push the bolts into the concrete setting the levels all the same with laser level.
Place 2 block pavers on the top to stop them moving.
Or get one of us to do it that does it all the time.
