don't really think 12500 l daughter average, is quite what you want.
decide your system, then choose a bull to match. The daughters of that bull, would require racing car precision, and if they are not fed to their potential, will give you lots of hassle, acidosis etc. Figure look good, but never tell the whole story. Probably xed with grass rats, might end up with decent yields ..................

Here's an example of the kind of bull I've been using @Jdunn55 ...
Small, high fertility, lower milk, generally good health holsteins.
None are perfect so I spread my bets with plenty of choice. I'll usually use about half a dozen or more holstein bulls in a season, some fresian too for my more "holsteiny" cows.
