Home Built Grader Blade

Hello

A home built grader blade has come up for sale. Very heavy construction but one concern I have is that the horizontal frame runs from the top link on the head stock and not from the lower links.

My understanding is that heavy tillage implements have the frame set at the height of the lower links.

Will the grader work as usual with the frame mounted so high?

Thanks.

The design doesn't alter where the forces will act on the linkage. Don't use a cheap flimsy top link if there's no depth wheel on the blade...

What tractor do you have?
A few miles away a farmer who also does hedge brushing had a mishap twice where something broke inside the hydraulic top and the top link came away, the tractor was 03 reg MF
But I don't know model other than it was reasonable size and should have coped. He changed it for Case and had no problem
