Home plugs

Does anyone else have troubles connecting more than a pair of home plugs within a house? I find that often you can't connect a third one in very well and that or unit gets left out of the circuit.

A lot of this home networking stuff isn't as great as its cracked up to be; I have a tp link wireless access point that randomly decides to ignore the iPad and you have to keep turning the wireless on and off. Really annoying but I can't be arsed to chuck it out and get something else.

Also have some home plugs that have had to be chucked out because they go duff eventually. Perhaps your one plug is just a dud?

I never got on with home plugs. I think they did not like a big old house with equally ancient wiring. I now have a netgear wireless booster which works very well. It keeps the teenagers quiet anyway.

TP link here, instructions not plain english, figured out I had to change the name to the same as the router to get the wi-fi running
, tried adding a third receiver and the whole lot falls over.
Pressing a button on the third unit is supposed to clone itself to the others, but it doesn't seem to work.
