Yep I was thinking of using a gas blowtorch for the hair.

My mum shaved a pig once, which I remember being quite laborious ? The next time she had a casualty she didn't bother and we were on hairy pork for months ?
A local farmer used to come and cut it up on the kitchen table, but mum decided to have a go herself with the last one. There were some random hairy joints ?
