The trouble with compost tea is that it only replicates what is in the compost. If your compost isn't top notch your tea won't be, and you could risk the chance of multiplying harmful fungi and bacteria. A middle way would be to buy fungal / bacterial compounds for a specific use, ie N fixing, and brew them in your compost tea brewer.
