Homemade slurry equipment

Hears a few pictures of the slurry equipment I’ve built over the last couple of years
First was a 600m front reeler

Engine out of this

Old miking vacuum pump and cheep petrol engine for the primer

Made a 350l fuel tank

light tower made with a ally scaffold tube this also has the remote control antenna on

Control box made out of a 3 phase breaker box I got from the scrap yard

Very impressed!!! How long did it all take?

It’s probably taken me a couple of months on and off to do the pump the dribble bar was simlar last year surprising how much time it takes thinking how to do things

I enjoy doing both but cheers I would make another pump probably go Cummins engine next time

I nearly used that Volvo engine but think the white smoke would of had everyone crying Still need some rams aswell if you find oat

Nicely done, top quality work. What did you use to pull the hoops round your jig for the reels? Did you lock the jig in place and push the box section down with the loader before fixing with clamps?

Yea locked it in place with a sliding bolt through the spokes then pulled it down by hand (left plenty of length of box sticking out) then slid a peace over for more leverage when needed it worked very well tbf them wheels are off a old hay turner got them out the scrap pile, sheds got a socket in the floor that 80mm box slides into very handy

Did you make the manifolds yourself and get them galvanised? Made out of chequer plate?

Yea get stuff galvanised quite a bit yea used chequer plate because I’d got it lying around no other reason tbh Ring rolls would make life easier instead of bending things around pipe all the time

My old man is a mechanic and has allways be handy with the welder so I’ve just learnt from him really he taught me to weld when I was 8
