It's amazing the different approach to make the same thing top jobI did a bit of post and rail on Thurs, but couldn't find my little twister. All sorts of bodges with big twister and chocks followed.
This thread has inspired me.New twister made this morning.

now to find a bit of paint (once it cools).
A broken shear grab tine might fit inside the twister shaft.....
Just a rock spike to make now from an old buckrake tine.
I've made another 2 caps for my Kinghitter since I got it, one for sleepers which holds them captive, and one which has an open side and a couple of locating points for square posts.
Id like to see the hydraulic clampJust a couple
Modified crow bar to lever out the wire pieces from concrete posts that hold the netting in place.
Piece of pipe is for extra leverage and both jaws have been cut deeper.

4"Sq attachment for the rock spike to allow us to put concrete posts in by bashing out a 4"Sq x 18"deep hole.

Also got a home built fencing machine that unrolls net or barb (not at same time)
&has a hydraulic clamp to tension
What was the stick for? To pull it down into the right place? Here's a few of my creations, particularly proud of the piece of stick to hold the barb in right place.View attachment 343264 View attachment 343254View attachment 343262 View attachment 343250 View attachment 343254
Just what I was thinking. What was the stick for? To pull it down into the right place?
Made this side shift carriage for my jcbView attachment 284538carries the augers and post guides for the Munro autodriverView attachment 284540
Has a full 4foot of side shift. This let's me get the post driver out past the door of the JCB and then the other way for the ring lock unroller/ stretcher that I made too. The pole that the ringlock sits over is hydrauliclly operated for easy loading and by using a sequencing valve it will go up first then the clamp will close . Holding the button the other way ,clamp opens then loading table cycles down. A tap in the clamp line allows me to hold the end of a roll and load another if doing a long run. And I can also spin the driver a full 90° for those hard to reach places like a fence line near a table drain or channelView attachment 284546
They sell twisters in New Zealand that look exactly the sameView attachment 344070
Dad is quite proud of this, round iron bar which he flattened one end of, drilled three different sized holes in. Very good for twisting wire.
