Homeschooling My Son - Ag Education

I homeschool my 7 year old son. He has autism and was not being successful in a regular classroom.

So I started schooling him at home and in addition to a regular curriculum, we play to his strengths and interests with lots of hands-on and in person learning. That's a long way of saying we take lots of field trips.

Lots of those trips involve ag topics - cotton, corn, pecans, fisheries, mushroom farming and more.

My wife suggested we start sharing these adventures with others thinking kids would like them. Turns out people of all ages have liked them and they have even started being used in classrooms from kindergarten to college.

Making the videos has been good for my son, too, as it reinforces what he learned on the adventure and helps him practice his communication skills.

He has 650 subscribers now and is trying to reach 1,000 before his one year anniversary on YouTube.

If you use YouTube, please check out his channel and if you like what you see, please subscribe.

And if you have a topic you'd like us to cover, let us know.

Thanks!
