Honda quad cutting out

Honda 420 starts fine in the morning's but will often cut out after about20-30 minutes work
Let it sit for a few minutes and it starts and then runs fine
Happened a few times now but not every day, very random
Any clues ?

There’s and updatede/modified fuel filter for them. Has it had one?

It has the tea bag filter on it and replaced not too long ago
It has only started this in the last 2 weeks

When it cuts out, turn the ignition on and listen for the fuel pump running

I can change the plug but thought if plug fault it would not start again
It is almost like it was when it first warms right up but it should be up to temp before this

Mine does similar. Haven't got to the bottom of it yet. I've purchased a new plug, lead and ignition coil to go on but haven't got round to it yet. Put a new teabag on but didn't solve the problem.

Does the dash show a - sign rather than a gear number when it wont start?

sh!t sucking into the fuel pick up pipe our Kawasaki does the same catches in the filter then falls off once the vacuum dies down swich it to reserve then back again cures it

Change out your fuel pump relay behind the battery.

Got to agree with Tony, always had 500 suzuki since they started making them and never had any issues others seems to get with other bikes.

Hi, I know this forum been down a long time ago but I ve got the same problem with my fourtrax, did you manage to get it sorted in the end?
