Hook-Lift Containers for Farming

Does anyone have a source for a Hook-Lift Container that has a grain unload/transfer auger (ready-made or custom-fab)?

Seems like a decent combination with the hook-lift trailers designed for tractors. However, I don't see any on the market.
For use on the field with a combine, and also for grain deliveries, where dumping is not desired.
I don't want to re-invent the wheel if it has already been done.

Would you not damage the auger as your dropped the body off? Or will you leave the body on the chassis all the time the auger is on?

Yes this can be done. The augers come with a rear door so you take off the hydraulic tailgate and replace with the complete unit. You can’t just fix a big auger to an existing hydraulic tailgate as they just aren’t strong enough for the extra weight of the auger and then the weight of the grain and vibration when unloading.
We sold a couple of these systems so I’ll see if I can find some pictures.

The hook-lift containers we run on the farm are large capacity for 30t-40t wheat/rapeseed. Ours all have plain/manual "barndoors" on the back for dumping. I was considering cutting a hole in one and adding an unload/transfer auger, but it would be better on a round-bottom container with an auger lengthwise on the bottom.

Because of the size/weight, I'm currently lifting/transporting these large containers from the field/combine with a hooklift mounted on a LKW (Mercedes Actros-2 4150AK, 53t GVWR, 12 wheels all-wheel-drive). Loading a 30t+ hooklift container from the ground raises the 4 front steering wheels 2-3 meters off the ground (have to be careful so it doesn't come crashing down). Also been searching for a farm tractor hooklift trailer that can satisfactorily handle these large/heavy containers.

Removing the container with an auger shouldn't be a problem. We also have a hooklift cargo box (flatbed) with aluminum side gates with a 4t capacity Palfinger crane mounted on the back. Even this can be easily loaded/unloaded with the hooklift. Sure, you have to be a little more careful taking off a hooklift flatbed/box with something mounted on the back, but it is not a problem (of course it must be mounted with this in mind).

I’d love some photos of you have any!

Which country are you from?

I'm farming in Northern Europe (EU country of Latvia).

I'll try to post some pics soon, but we're at the transition between harvesting and planting where everything is happening simultaneously (very short on free time). Lately, been getting home around 03:00 and moving again after 4hrs sleep... I try to keep one eye closed during the day to simulate part-time sleep!

Wasn't there a company called Stronga who used to advertise custom hook-lift stuff for agriculture? Haven't heard about them in a while so they may have gone to the wall.

I used to work for a company called Marshall Cooke who made skips, containers and compactors for the waste industry, but also custom made containers for other uses including agriculture. They may be worth a call or find a similar manufacturer in your own locality.
