A second hand one used for first time Friday and again part of Saturday no problems, now stops seeding after a few yards. Stop and start again, does the same, stops after a few yards. Does the same on two tractors. Any ideas before dealer is called.

remembering to put leaver into float , grab hold of opposite end of motor can you turn it , is it lumpy or smooth , seed and ferry or just seed ?

Just seed. Motor is electric????

Are you using the bout markers? Did it with me when using manual hydraulics But when timed (6seconds) it stopped doing it.

Is it picking up speed signal?

Use the spool to lower the drill and put the marker arms out then into float position to work as Yorkie said, otherwise if the drill goes over a bump it thinks it has raised up and stops seeding motor. Secondly check the seeding motor turns freely. Bearings in metering unit can go and the rubber flap can also get worn.
