I must admit coming from a freeflow I initially went to float in work but found my Sprinty quite often wouldn’t lift at the ends without working spool up, down and up again. Weird. As soon as I stopped going to float in the field and let it spring back to neutral it’s been working 100% of the time. I think the back pressure was somehow holding the solenoid closed so it wouldn’t lift until the oil pressure was equalised the other side. I can’t personally see the need to be in float since it sits on ram wedges and doesn’t ‘float’ at all. The work switch could be a reason as above but I’m yet to experience a failure. In response to OP; lose the Duetts and fit pretty much any other coulter designed for the Sprinter my fave is metcalfe (pic) but your bourghalt/Dutch are more akin to your DuettsExactly. On the off chance it beeps and stops seeding that's exactly what I do Rarely happens though.
