Horsch Sprinter power cable

I have just bought a 4m Sprinter for drilling beans.
The control box seems to have come without its power cable, just a short pair of foot long cables to an Anderson connector.
The local dealer says only a short cable is shown in the parts book and wasn't much help.
What have other users done?. What size cables and do you put a fuse in line etc.
Thx Jim

I think those thick cables with the white connector are the ones which connect directly to the tractor battery as they power the seed meter motor. They are the same control boxes as the co series drills. My sprinter has a different configuration to those. Ideally you will need cables the same diameter as those short ones. I can’t remember whether there was an in line fuse on my old co drill with that layout, but it wouldn’t do any harm if you have the right size fuse.

Get some Anderson plugs from eBay, search 'Anderson SB 175' and that should bring up what you need. The first machine I had with this was a Sumo DTS and now we use it on all implements needing power from the tractor

I've found some on 12 volt planet along with various sizes of twin battery cable. I'm just unsure how many amps the metering motor uses.

@Jim Jackson we use 2x16mm2 megaflex cable with a 60amp inline fuse direct to the battery with an Anderson SB175 hard wired onto every tractor. That is what our Sumo requires but our sprinter also runs off it fine
