We use a Sprinter here no problem at all. Not sure many would class it as no-till....but it's perfectly good for placing seed without any prior cultivation. Ours is the old style too (vertical springs like the CO), rather than the newer horizontal Multi-grip shank.

From what i have seen they can do a decent job - especially if fitted with the GEN coulter

They lack really good depth control but that's not a big problem at narrower widths and on level land

Those GEN coulters look very interesting indeed! Are they expensive?

Does anybody know what the rear section of the coulter is designed for? It looks like seed goes down the front....but you wouldn't put fertiliser above the plant surely?

Hello Steevo. The seed is blown out behind the wings and then soil is lifted over the wings. In the middle and below is the fertilizer placed. Liquid or granulated. The tip with the tungsten carbid operates 5 cm below the level of the seeds. The band is 6" ( but in two rows).
The price: contact me on [email protected]

I'm running an old 4 meter Co4 with 6" GEN coulters, works well both direct in stubbel and on cultivated land. They requires less power than the original PPF coulters, and does at better job in wet soil (2012 was also wet i Denmark ) . The downside is they don't likes stones, if they hit a stone at high speed the tip will fall of.
Overall I'm happy with them and will never put the PPF's back on again.
This winter i have fitted a Kuhn front hopper for granulated fertilizer .

How much power would I want up front of a Co 6 or 8m fitted with the gen coulters? what are these drills like running cost wise?

Looks like a good way to dip your toe into one pass drilling
