I used the white terram from a firm called axup (I think)quite thick and not to bad to handle although full rolls are a two man liftWhat membrane have people used for the top membrane and where have you sourced it from? Summer project here.
Its all been approved by the LPA ,The clients other half is a building consultantJust to let you know the Environment Agency are throwing their toys out the pram about a ménage we are seeking permission for in Flood Zone 2. Our Flood Risk Consultant has prepared an FRA stating it should be acceptable but the EA are still digging their heels in.
your right,I did a rectangle and its a pain as you cant get in the corners with the levellerI built a 60' round pen in 2013......No worries. Just don't make a rectangle. For training peonies this is way better IMO.
Two layers of non woven membrane. First layer over what you see in the first pic second layer glued and hand-sewn with 1.0m overlap under the silica sand. 40mm crushed stone is intermediate layer with no fines. Drains like a sieve!
We have a superb two way gate catch.
Hedge is now 12' tall. Peonies think there are bears in it so I should have left a 20' gap or big enough for the tractor to pass through. They do a D shape in training.......

I like the sound of your gate catch,do you have any pics?
makes sense now, wife does dressage and jumping so that must be why i had to do a rectangleWe used these for our menage:
Our Catches & Latches | gatecatch.com Axminster UK
Great British Catches from Gatecatch.com fit 3" wooden gates and 2" metal or garden gates to make whatever size gate you have easy to use, whatever you are doing.www.gatecatch.com
Difficult to train for dressage in a round lunging pen, so it depends on what training the equine person is into, but yes, it is a pita to level the corners..

Here it is. I used a 7' gate so the quad can squeeze in and it isn't too big/heavy. We have a dual purpose reversible spring-tine rake/leveller that goes behind to do the weeding as well.your right,I did a rectangle and its a pain as you cant get in the corners with the leveller

thanks we currently have a 12ft metal gate with spring bolt so a pita, think i might order one of those for some brownie points from the wifeHere it is. thanks for the link mateYes, if she does 1 day eventing for example: Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country - then it does lend itself to rectangular on the most part.
I detest levelling the bloody things though - as like yourself, the corners are a real pita.
