Been asked to sell this horse box for a friend. I know nothing about them.
2015 Bateson Deauville. Barely done 2 seasons work due to horse being lame and consequently retired.
I've serviced it etc. It's a nice clean trailer.
any idea of value?

Made 2100 of my wife’s Ifor at York that was older and more worn but the Bateson that was similar age and condition made 1400. That is your problem but has to be 3500 - 4000

I remember reading trailer review on another site about a sharp edge on the floor of Bateson horse box which injured horses foot... how about cleaning out straw and inspecting floor

We have the same box, about similar age about £1600 cheaper than iforwillams at the time, I'd say £2800-3400 range. They seam to devalue a lot more than others, rubbish tyres on them and just cheep jocky wheel hitch etc.

Recently sold a 2010 IW for £3,800, not sure what a Bateson is worth but seeing as it's a bit newer I'd say similar, maybe 3 - 3.5? They seem to have gone up like everything else recently.

I would say around £3000. People who have Batesons love Batesons but lots of people stick with Ifor Williams because that's what they have always had. Do you have a county horsey fb page? We have Wiltshire Horse Riders and round here that would be the best place to advertise it. It's getting a bit late in the year for selling trailers unfortunately. Make sure you give it a good spruce up before advertising, even better if you can service it too.
