Ok lads time to pick your brains instead of your noses today I've got a 2014 horsh sprinter 4st and want to do veri rate drilling slight snag is the isobus from the drill to the tractor ain't on speaking terms so have decided to put the drill box into the cab but really don't want to try a fiddle the standard isobus wiring loom to the battery so is there a way of using the tractors external isobus plug and having a lead from the internal isobus plug and plugging that straight into the drill box the tractor is a JD 6250r

Yes you need the adaptor cable though. Assuming muller control drill box if a basic terminal D-Sub <-> CPC connector cable, item no. 30322541 . Now the hard bit is the drill box unlocked to do varirate? and if your using application maps have you a gps source, you can use the serial output from jdreciever on roof.

It looks as if 30322541 is the Muller version of the iso cable, and the Horsch version is part number 00345265 which is supplied with newer Horsch drills.
Don't know if any of the following is relevant or helpful: on a Case Puma 00345265 connects the centre port on the Muller box (port A) to the tractors B pillar, and another bespoke cable is needed to connect the Muller left hand DB9 port (port C), to the tractors GPS (nav controller diagnostic port) for an NMEA position signal.
Needs correct matching baud rate and NMEA format etc, got the settings if you need them.
On the 2014 ST's it will probably need a serial rate map (on the later [2015?] 2016 the plan would [IIRC] need to be in isoXML).
The only problem with it is the Muller unlock for VRS is somewhere around £800, but it works pretty well - most of the time.

Yep found the cable on the Muller website and one is on the way the box is unlocked thankfully

I just nabbed part number of muller website. I would get software on drill ecu updated my 2012 runs on jd screen without issue.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but has anyone written the software and made the cables to turn old Horsch CO drills Isobus yet? Lots still about running Vari rate with SOYL etc. Seems the next logical step, my drill controller is certainly getting tired here!?

I’ve heard of someone that converted their CO from Agtron to Muller control, but given the cost it would probably make a lot more sense to trade up to an ST.

To up grade to iso on a co4 you need a new loom and a new control box on the drill, under 2k, thinking of doing my old nail.

I'd imagine you'd need to add a Horsch electro hydraulic valve chest, Horsch metering unit and electric drive (i.e. not the electric Accord metering unit) to make it ISO compatible and fully functioning.

Easier to do if you didn't need side or pre em markers right enough, but a bit of a bugger to integrate them otherwise.

Might be do-able then, my Co is one of the last, on electric Horsch meter and radar, runs vari-rate via Soyl and an Ipad at the moment, just looking to de-clutter and simplify a bit, plus the Agtron boxes are getting tired, with the occasional blip! Like you say, no need for markers or pre emergence, so simply rate control that's needed, tractor screen is unlocked for variable rate, so think most things are in place I think? I'll try and get hold of Will at Horsch next week, I'll report my findings!

I have done my CO 6
There’s a thread on here about it.
Can use the existing seed motor just need new sensors for fan and work switch
Off the top of my head it was around £1800
